I am currently a client of Kristine Yu and have been trained by her for the past thirty two months. During these past thirty two months Kristine has been an inspiration and mentor to me. She is not only extremely knowledgeable, but she teaches by example, living each day by exercising and by eating right.

Kristine has taught me a great deal about nutrition, exercise and overall good health. When I first came to Kristine I followed exactly what she told me to do to become healthy and fit. I did and in just a short time of three months I lost twelve pounds and my body fat percentage was down to fifteen. I then wanted to build muscle mass and get as muscular as I possibly could without becoming too unfit.

Again I listened to Kristine and changed my diet along with my workout routine and in eight months I had gained fifty pounds of body mass increasing my fat percentage to only twenty two.

Kristine then recommended that I lean down as much as possible without losing much of the muscle mass. I agreed and she proceeded to change my diet and workout routine to get these results. I am currently 6’-0” tall and weigh 205 lbs with a body fat percentage of 7.3.

Kristine has taught me how to mold my body and mind into any shape or stated that I wish it to be in. I have complete control of the state of my health because of her and at age forty two I have never been more fit than I am now.

To Fitness Concepts

I want to express my sincere thanks to my trainer Kristine. Kristine has been such a great trainer and very motivating. This is my second time with Kristine in the past two years and each time I have achieved great results. When I first came to Fitness Concepts I had never experienced a personal trainer, I was not sure what to expect. I wrote down my goal weight and asked Kristine if my goal was realistic, she replied with a “yes as long as I follow my diet and attend all my training sessions.” With this in mind I always followed my diet (never cheated once) and I did reach my goal within two days of my last session with Kristine. Ten months after I reached my goal I became pregnant and of course gained unnecessary pounds that needed to come off after the baby was born. So here I am back with Kristine for another 12 weeks. My goal this time was to just get back to the weight that I was when I last saw Kristine, well 6 weeks into my training and I am just a few pounds from my goal weight. I feel great and I am sure that Kristine feels great too when she sees that her clients are gaining noticeable results. I am very grateful to have Kristine as my trainer. I would like to thank Armando for his great nutrition tips. I would also like to thank Sam for his compliments and encouragement through out my training experience.

I would recommend every person I know who wants to get in shape and be healthy to consider going to Fitness Concepts. The great thing is that everyone is there for the same reason. You cannot put a price on health.

Approximately a year ago I completed a self-evaluation and realized that I was in the worst physical shape of my entire life. My physical condition had denigrated to a point where I would actually get winded trying to tie my shoes. My doctor was concerned and suggested medications to control my weight, blood pressure and cholesterol if I couldn’t improve my health through diet and exercise. Since I didn’t want to rely on medications the rest of my life and since previous efforts through gym memberships had produced no real results, I decided to enlist the help of a personal trainer.

After meeting with Sam at Fitness Concepts and reviewing the features and benefits of their personal training program, I decided to give it a try. This decision turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made. Through the workouts with my personal trainer, and Armando’s nutritional guidance I was able to lose 80 pounds! The program has positively influenced my life in more ways than I can possibly describe. My only regret is that I didn’t make this life-changing decision years ago.

My personal trainer is outstanding! On those days when I’m tired of discouraged, she is always there to encourage and motivate me to be my best. During periods when I’m not training with her she will still keep an eye on me to make sure my workout is successful. She’s not the prototypical trainer who thinks their job is to verbally berate you and constantly push you beyond your limits. She is caring, compassionate and truly has an interest in how I’m progressing and improving. She makes working out fun and has turned physical fitness into something that I look forward to doing.

Looking Good is Good-
Feeling Good is Even Better

Six months ago, after my husband and I had dinner with friends, I came home feeling frustrated and sad. In our forties, all of us spoke of how tired, achy and old we felt. I didn’t want to feel this way at 42—with the doctor pushing for yet another medication for my high cholesterol, seasonal allergies that had become year-round and quarterly illnesses bad enough to send me to a pharmacy for antibiotics. “Enough!” I thought. I walked into Fitness Concepts one afternoon. Armando greeted me and asked how long I had wanted to get healthy. I said, “Six years.” During those six years, I exercised on my own. However, my eating habits were fairly poor and, if my schedule got too busy, my exercise program was the first thing to go.

Now, for the first time in my life, if I don’t exercise one day—I miss it. I met my goals: I lost the extra ten pounds of baby weight, went from 35 percent body fat to 26 percent and, once again, feel comfortable wearing a bikini. Is my nutrition perfect? Of course not. I know now, though, what my body needs. I make healthier choices and get back on track when I falter. It’s not about the low-carb diets and weight loss pills. It’s about combining food properly. These are things I’ve been teaching my students for years. I sleep better than I have in years, spend less money and time on my allergies, my emotions are more stable and I have an incredible amount of energy.

My trainer, Kristine, has been wonderful support and role model. My initial fear about hiring a personal trainer was that I would not be heard in terms of what I wanted to achieve and in regard to some physical limitations. Kristine has been more aware of what I need that I have been. We have been a great team. Sam, the chiropractor/cuisine guide, helped me to understand what I needed nutritionally and how my body responded when I ate “dirty” versus “clean”.

My heartfelt thanks to Armando, Kristine and Sam for keeping me on track. I can’t wait for my next cholesterol test. It’s sure to be the best one yet.
